It was no exchange deal.
It just so happened that mom Nora Aunor and daughter Matet de Leon were indeed proving they’re formidable as kin.
It must be remembered that there was a time in Nora’s life that her children were drifting away from her because of her closeness with John Rendez they thought she had forgotten and chose him over them.
The three kids, Ian, Lotlot and Matet de Leon had three different mindsets.
Three folks, three different strokes. While Ian was a biological son and Lotlot and Matet were adopted, the three considered themselves pure blood of the Superstar.
The guy was neither here nor there in accepting John as part of the family but he respected his mom’s choice and sentiments.
Matet was the I-don’t-care attitude about her ma’s love life while Lotlot had expressed some sort of a negation of her mother’s private predilections.
But time, as they say, heals all wounds and the mom and her kids have come to terms with the reality that she is only human.
It’s time for celebration when Nora paid Matet’s family a rare special visit in New Year’s Eve.
Aunor spent her ushering in of the New Year with one of her de Leon loved ones. It was a special bond Ate Guy had built in her life and everyone was happy about the actress coming in to the fold of Matet, husband Mickey Estrada and their offspring.
The special guest had a special photo-op with her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. It was an awesome scenario of a reunion because they hadn’t seen for ages although they were just in the same country.
Then, Ian with wife and kids, Matet with hubby and children surprised their famous mom with a visit of the whole caboodle which made her teary-eyed with joy.
It was John himself who accommodated his girlfriend’s kith and kin.
It was a happy 2022 for the Aunors, Villamayors, Porters (family of John) and de Leons.
Although Lotlot wasn’t around because according to one of La Aunor’s confidantes she’s on an official commitment but her bubbling spirit was there.
Both the Villamayors and the de Leons reached out for one another.
