Commuting from Southern Luzon to Northern Luzon has become a lot easier!
Two months after the successful launch of its Calamba City-Baguio City route, HM Transport launched last week the second of the three projected routes that aims to provide seamless travel between Laguna province and the North.
Starting July 30, HM Transport offers direct bus trips from Barangay Turbina in Calamba City to Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
As with the Calamba-Baguio route, HM Transport has partnered with Victory Liner, Inc., one of the largest bus companies in Northern Luzon, for this latest route.
Under this partnership, Victory Liner provided bus units as well as access to its terminals in Barangay Turbina and Tuguegarao City.
A one-way bus trip from Calamba to Tuguegarao costs P1,403.
The Calamba-Tuguegarao route is one of the three new interprovincial routes approved by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) last year to facilitate faster travel for residents of southern Tagalog and northern Luzon.
The new routes enabled commuters from southern Luzon to bypass terminals in Metro Manila such as Cubao, Quezon City; Pasay City; and the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) to get to buses to central and northern Luzon.
