More hospitals in Laguna province have said they cannot accept more Covid-19 cases as cases continue to rise.
Calamba Doctors Hospital said its emergency rooms are also nearing its capacity due to the growing number of patients waiting to be admitted
MANY Covid-19 patients from Metro Manila who are turning to hospitals in nearby provinces for treatment due to overflowing cases in the National Capital Region, were dealt a severe blow after two more hospitals in Laguna province had declared 'full capacity' in their isolation facilities.
Perpetual Help Medical Center in Biñan City and Calamba Doctors Hospital have notified the public that their isolation wards for Covid-19 patients as well as their intensive care units (ICU) have already reached their maximum allocated level.
However, Perpetual Help Medical Center said their other services such as outpatient diagnostics and centers and emergency room services for non-Covid-19 cases will remain open.
Meanwhile, Calamba Doctors Hospital said its emergency rooms are also nearing its capacity due to the growing number of patients waiting to be admitted.
The hospitals also advised patients with Covid-19 cases to seek medical help elsewhere.
Laguna province has posted 3,097 active and 25,137 total cases of Covid-19 with 21,432 recoveries and 608 fatalities, as of March 6. (ONT)
