Based on the latest data released by the Biñan City Epidemiology & Surveillance Unit, only 91 active cases remain in the city as of October 19.

THE city government of Biñan, Laguna has decided to suspend and close down its temporary treatment and monitoring facility for Covid-19 patients due to decreasing number of cases.

Mayor Arman Dimaguila said latest data released by the Biñan City Epidemiology & Surveillance Unit, showed only 91 active cases remain in the city as of October 19.

Dimaguila however said they are continuing to ramp up its Covid-19 vaccination program in order to achieve "herd immunity" for the city's residents as soon as possible.

Recently, Biñan City launched a "floating vaccination station" for residents living along the shoreline of Laguna de Bay, as well as those affected by the recent floods brought by previous typhoons.

This was on top of the city's ongoing "Vax on Wheels" program, where minibuses deliver the city's Covid-19 vaccination program to residents unable to go to their main vaccination centers.
