TWO motorcycle riders died after being involved in a head-on collision with a pickup truck in Cavinti, Laguna recently.
A report from the Philippine National Police - Region 4A identified the fatalities as motorcycle driver Frederick Gregorio, 46 years old, and Remelyn Sarmiento, who was riding at the back.
According to authorities, Gregorio was driving along the national highway along Barangay Tibatib at around 7:30 p.m. when a pick-up truck being driven by Rodelino Ruazol allegedly occupied the opposite lane resulting in a head-on collision between the two vehicles.
Gregorio died while being taken to the Laguna Medical Center in Sta. Cruz, while Sarmiento succumbed while being treated at the hospital.
Ruazol is now under custody while charges are being prepared against him. (ONT)
