ISDA volunteers said they will continue to serve and uplift the health and welfare of Filipinos through various activities and outreach programs in accordance with the values and platform of Mayor “Inday Sara” Duterte-Carpio.

MEMBERS of the Inday Sara Dutere Ako (ISDA)-Volunteer Support Group have conducted a free circumcision operation for young boys in Barangay Langkiwa, Biñan City, Laguna recently.

At least 180 boys with ages eight to 15 years old attended the medical mission at Southville 5A Elementary School.

The activlity was spearheaded by ISDA Coordinator for Laguna Mr. Andy Vergara along with Dra. Fe Tuble and members of the Tau Gamma Fraternity.

All required medicines, medical kits and others needed for the recovery of the patients were shouldered and provided by the volunteer group.

Prior coordination was also made with the local government of Biñan through Mayor Walfredo “Arman” R. Dimaguila Jr.

As part of its Independence day celebration last month, a similar outreach program was conducted by ISDA in Barangay Medina, Municipality of Magallanes, Cavite which benefited 135 young boys.

ISDA members said they will continue to serve and uplift the health and welfare of Filipinos through various activities and outreach programs until they can and in accordance with the values and platform of Mayor “Inday Sara” Duterte-Carpio.

Listening to the people’s calls

On Sunday, the volunteer group expressed their satisfaction on the pronouncement of Mayor Sara that she is “open” to run for the presidency in 2022.

"We welcome the decision of Mayor Inday Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio in considering running in the 2022 elections,” the group said in a statement.
“Her reconsideration meant that she heard, and is always listening to, the people’s calls”.

Since January, the group have continuously and openly campaigned for the Davao Mayor to succeed his father, advocating the idea in every outreach programs they did in various cities and provinces in the country.

“The people in Inday Sara Duterte Ako-Volunteer Support Group are celebrating this momentous declaration as we strongly believe that Mayor Sara is the only qualified candidate to succeed her father, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte,” they argued.
“We are one with the nation’s dreams and aspiration of seeing her become the next President of the Republic of the Philippines. She can count on our unwavering support,” ISDA concluded.

Sara appears to be the choice of many politicians and political parties for the presidency, or at least even for the second highest post, despite the opposition of the President himself and her earlier declaration that she will not run.

As the filing of candidacy draws near, politicians who visit Davao are becoming more prevalent, these include prominent and potential 2022 candidates such as former Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro, Senator Bong Bong Marcos and her sister Senator Imee, among others.

Lakas-CMD, Nacionalista Party, National Unity Party, Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino, and the People’s Reform Party have also expressed their support for a Sara presidency.

But Sara asked supporters to give her until the end of July for a final decision.
