'Duterte legacy caravan' extends aid to 850 families in Laguna

According to the Laguna Provincial Police Office (PPO), the Duterte Legacy BARANGAYanihan caravan aims to trumpet the administration's accomplishments that provide better services to the Filipino people.

STA. CRUZ, Laguna- THE Duterte Legacy BARANGAYanihan caravan has provided assistance to 850 families at Camp B/Gen Paciano Rizal and Barangay Bagumbayan in this town recently.

According to the Laguna Provincial Police Office (PPO), the Duterte Legacy BARANGAYanihan caravan aims to trumpet the administration's accomplishments that provide better services to the Filipino people.

During the program, 500 individuals were inoculated against Covid-19, while 50 vehicle owners attended the lectures of the Highway Patrol Group (HPG)-Laguna, on the new online modus operandi in carnapping and vehicle inspection services.

The Department of Natural Resources (DENR)-Laguna distributed seedlings of fruit-bearing trees to 50 women attending lectures on RA 9262 and RA 7610 conducted by the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) of Laguna PPO.

A total of 50 women and persons with disabilities (PWD) were also given a lecture and demonstration of dishwashing liquid and fabric conditioner-making by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Laguna.

Legal assistance was provided by the Provincial Legal Service, police clearance by Sta. Cruz MPS, labor codes consultation by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Laguna.

The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO ) also provided 100 food packs for the attendees.

Meanwhile, 350 individuals were treated at the medical mission, while residents of Barangay Bagumbayan in Santa Cruz, Laguna, received food packs and hygiene kits from the Sta Cruz Municipal Police Station.

The event was culminated by the unveiling and blessing of the Terrasa de Kapanalig Hall by Rev. Jerich Advincula, Assistant Parish Priest of the Immaculate Concepcion Catholic Church.

In his message, Director for Police Community Relations Maj.Gen. Bartolome Bustamante encouraged public servants from the different government agencies and the citizens to work in cohesion in order to better serve Lagunenses.
