First, the good news.

2018 Miss Universe Catriona Gray is again thrilled about the celebration of National Arts Month this February even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Being the Arts Ambassador of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) for three consecutive years, Catriona has been annually preparing her important participation in the event by doing special programs for the arts.

This year, Gray shot a fashion film where she swayed and sashayed in every nook and cranny of the historic Metropolitan Theater in Manila to signify the significance and features of the seven arts, namely, music, cinema, architecture and allied arts, theater, literature, dance and visual arts.

At the same time that the beauty queen and model was romancing the video camera in the edited visual, there were texts in the background that described and explained the salient properties of each of the art. For example, what are the elements of literature and their functions or the types of dance in the historical perspective?

“So excited to create a vision with an amazing group of creatives within the iconic Metropolitan Theatre,” exclaimed Catriona.

The NAM kicked off last February 4, 2022 with an opening ceremony streamed via NCCA Facebook page, showcasing various performances, virtual exhibits, poem and story reading, film excerpts, among others from the seven art forms.

Since the celebration of Arts Month is national in scope, Catriona enjoined all regions in the country to share their cultural heritage with one another.
