At least 18 persons, mostly minors, were caught violating health protocols and a liquor ban inside a resort in Biñan City.

THE local government of Biñan City has ordered the closure of a local resort after it was found to be hosting a party in violation of the current health protocols against Covid-19.

The Biñan City Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) said at least 18 persons, mostly minors, were caught partying inside Samantha's Resort, located at Barangay Dela Paz, on the midnight of April 6.

Aside from violating protocols on mass gathering, the apprehended partygoers were also found drinking alcohol in defiance of a liquor ban implemented over Laguna province due to the reimposition of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

BJ Borja, head of the Biñan City Culture, History, Arts and Tourism Office (BCHATO), has also withdrawn the resort's tourist accreditation certificate. (ONT)
