Binan City vaccinates 11-K on 1st day of "Bayanihan Bakunahan"

A total of 11,842 residents were vaccinated during the first day of "Bayanihan Bakunahan" in Biñan City, more than twice than what was recorded last November 14 when 4,650 Biñanenses were inoculated against Covid-19.

Biñan City has broken its own record in the number of residents vaccinated against Covid-19 on the first day of the "Bayanihan Bakunahan" National Vaccination Day Monday (November 29).

According to data released by the City Health Office 1, a total of 11,842 residents were vaccinated during the first day of "Bayanihan Bakunahan."

This is more than twice than what was recorded last November 14 when 4,650 Biñanenses were inoculated against Covid-19.

Out of these numbers, half of those vaccinated (5,221 individuals) were given the shot at the city's "Vax on Wheels" program at Barangays Sto. Nino and Langkiwa, while 4,561 were inoculated at the Alonte Sports Arena.

Other vaccination sites designated by the city government for the three-day "Bayanihan Bakunahan" include the Alberto Mansion; Perpetual Help Medical Center; Unihealth Southwoods Hospital; Binan Doctors Hospital; and Southwoods Mall.

Meanwhile, the number of active cases in the city has also fallen to single digits, according to latest data released by the Binan CHO.

As of November 29, the city has recorded only eight active cases, while the number of additional cases have dropped to two on that day.

To date, Binan City has reported a total of 8,103 cases of Covid-19 with 7,912 recoveries and 183 fatalities.
