When I called up award-winning actress Odette Khan to check on her situation these COVID-19 pandemic uncertainties and to convey the bad news of the passing of our mutual friend, entertainment writer Virgilio Gonzales, known in the movie reporting industry as Vir Gonzales, I kinda hinted at her that actress Ara Mina is now her neighbor in San Pedro City.
“Oh! I love Ara very much. She’s a wonderful woman. She’s a kind person,” praised Odette.
Khan has been living in the vicinity where Dave Almarinez, Ara’s husband, has invested in his own home.
According to Khan, Mina was a thoughtful person when they were together in many television shows and movies. “Oh! I was happy when she got married. She deserves to be happy,” exclaimed Odette.
She also had met with Dave some time ago during a “Pailaw” activity in the barangay in San Pedro where Khan stays. “He’s a nice guy,” she said.
Meanwhile, a housewife from Pacita 2 has sworn she recently saw Ara shop home appliances in a mall in Biñan, a neighboring city of San Pedro.
“Nakangiti si Ara sa amin. Nangungumusta siya. Tapos, sinabi niya na namimili siya ng mga gamit sa bahay (Ara was smiling at us. She was asking how we’ve been. Then she volunteered that she was shopping for home appliances),” informed the barangay resident.
