A total of 23,176 violators were apprehended during a week-long operation for the implementation of the "Safer Cities" program across the Calabarzon region.

According to a report from the Police Regional Office Calabarzon, led by Acting Regional Director P/BGen. Hansel Marantan, these various violations were recorded from April 8 to April 14, 2026.

Among the offenses, 5,883 individuals were caught drinking alcohol and smoking in public places; 2,838 were found roaming the streets without shirts; 437 were using videoke machines beyond the permitted hours; 8,098 minors violated curfew; and 4,980 were cited for other local ordinance violations.

Of the total, 17,098 violators were given warnings and released in accordance with the directive of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla, while 6,062 were fined and 12 were formally charged due to more serious offenses.

Marantan said that these numbers show not only stricter enforcement of the law but also the need to make people more aware of and follow the rules that are already in place.
