Despite an internal investigation exonerating him from accusations of workplace bullying, CD Projekt Red’s Konrad Tomaszkiewicz has decided to leave the project to avoid causing any trouble and anxiety in the workplace.

KONRAD Tomaszkiewicz, Witcher 3” Wild Hunt director has resigned CD Projekt Red after being accused of workplace bullying, despite investigation finding him not guilty.

Tomaszkiewicz revealed to Bloomberg that the company had conducted a months-long investigation which have exonerated him for the allegations.

Still, he decided to leave the company.

“Nonetheless, a lot of people are feeling fear, stress or discomfort when working with me,” Tomaszkiewicz wrote in an email to the company staff.

He apologized “for all the bad blood I have caused.”

Tomaszkiewicz started in CD Projekt as a junior tester in 2004. He worked on all three Witcher games starting out as a designer.

He also worked as the secondary director and head of production of Cyberpunk 2077, before eventually moving into the position of vice president of game development at CD Projekt Red.

When Bloomberg reached out to him for a comment, he said he was "sad, a bit disappointed and resigned."

The news site also revealed that the game director was set to “play a significant role” in a new Witcher game.

The game and the novel it was based on inspired the now popular Netflix series, The Witcher, which wrapped filming season 2 last December.

This is only the latest issue involving Cyberpunk 2077 starting from the game’s delayed launch, poor performance, and game refunds that led to the game being removed from the PlayStation Store in December 2020.

When players noticed game-interfering bugs and experienced crashes, among many problems, they turned to CD Projekt who acknowledged that they’ve misled consumers and issued refunds.

The company even faced online bullying and a hack cyberattack in February that they admitted have compromised some of the company’s internal systems.

Last week, Cyberpunk 2077 lead gameplay designer Andrzej Zawadzki announced his resignation from the company. “It's time for the new adventure,” he posted on his Twitter. (HD)
