Wil Dasovich, Daniel Marsh to represent PH in vlog challenge on Mt.Everest

Wil Dasovich and Daniel Marsh join other notable vloggers and influencers from around the world following a challenge to trek Mount Everest while also telling the story of Earth’s highest peak.

ORIGINALLY scheduled in 2020, the World Vlog Challenge was created to promote tourism in Nepal as well as call attention towards environmental concerns.

This 2021, the climb starts.

Partynepal, the organizers of WVC, has invited notable filmmakers, online content creators, influencers, vloggers from around the world to tell the story of Mount Everest.

“World Vlog Challenge is designed around the theme of global warming, melting glaciers, and cleaning up of the Himalayas. This project hopes to reach at least 30 million people worldwide,” says Shree Gurung, one of the organisers of the event.

Participating in this event is the award-winning Filipino vlogger and cancer survivor Wil Dasovich as well as popular Filipino-Irish content creator and TV5 talent Daniel Marsh.

All participating vloggers have arrived in Nepaland will have to spend 12 days in Mt. Everest led by top mountaineers, Guinness World Record holders, and experienced sherpas.

Kami Rita Sherpa, who has summited Mt Everest 25 times, will be training the filmmakers and vloggers on mountaineering techniques.

On the climb, the team will be led by Mingma David Sherpa, who was awarded ‘Sherpa of the Year’ in 2019.

An adventure reality TV show will be made out of the journey, directed by Simosh Sunuwar, one of the most prominent reality show producers/directors of Nepal.

WVC was first planned for 2020 with American YouTuber Logan Paul, India’s fitness guru Jeet Selal, pilot and travel vlogger from Mexico Alex Tienda, and Miss World Nepal 2019 Anushka Shrestha.

But due to the pandemic, all treks to Earth's highest point were postponed.

With a new team, it is all systems go for WVC. The participating vloggers-creators are as follows:

● Nathan Bartling - social media star from Thailand

● Wil Dasovich - vlogger and content creator from Philippines

● Steele Davis - travel YouTuber representing USA

● Ashish Bhatia - rapper and vlogger from India

● Juanes Velez - travel creator representing Colombia

● Benn Jayms Tkalcevic - YouTuber and film maker from Australia

● Daniel Marsh - vlogger and actor to represent Ireland/Philippines

● Vishakha Fulsunge - digital creator and vlogger from India

● Soumesh Pandey - videographer and online creator to represent India

● Biswas Rai - photographer and winner of the Nepal Vlog Challenge to represent Nepal

As of writing, the team is training for the climb to acclimatize and build endurance.
