Comic Pokwang and Pinky Amador are just two of the many political artists associated with Kakampinks.
The Kakampinks were the exact opponents of the Dutertards o Duterte Diehard Supporter (DDS) and the Marcos loyalists of the then presidential candidate in 2022, Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. especially in the much-ballyhooed Uniteam with his vice- presidential aspirant Sara Duterte.
The Kakampinks were the rooters and supporters of Leni Robredo, the political election foe of Bongbong Marcos.
Meanwhile, the vice-presidential running mate of Leni was Kiko Pangilinan who also carried the torch of the Kakampinks.
There was a binary on the following of Leni-Kiko and Bongbong-Sara.
Ardent followers were divided into two factions and they were all noisy especially in social media in defense of their respective candidates.
They were also critical to the extent of being loud and uncouth.
Finally, the Bongbong-Sara team won in the elections.
Eventually, the alliance between Bongbong and Sara was broken due to each other's incompatibility in running the affairs of the country.
Until Uniteam was dissolved and the gap between Marcos and Duterte widened and they called it quits.
Recently, the DDS took notice of Kakampinks joining the Marcos line of governance.
In the recent "An Evening of the Stars: A Gala Celebrating the Stars" at the Foro Intramuros which was attended by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos.
Not a few Kakampink stars were around like Sharon Cuneta, Gary Valenciano, Paolo Valenciano, Pinky Anador, Pokwang, among others.
DDS like movie director Darryl Yap criticized both Pokwang and Pinky to the point of getting and labelling "eat what they vomit."
Darryl described the comedienne and the film, TV and stage actress as "kain-suka" (literally translated as "eat-vomit."
What the heck.
Even if Pokwang and Amador lambasted Bongbong and Sara before, don’t they have the right to be in a critical alliance of Marcos?
That they can freely express their opinions no matter how unsavory to Marcos for the good of the entire nation.
We also expect Pokwang and Pinky to be critical of the Dutertes, objectively.
