Actors Vince Tañada, Sunshine Dizon and Charo Santos-Concio won the Best Actor and Best Actresses trophies, respectively, at the 38th Star Awards for Movies of the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) held at the Centennial Hall of the Manila Hotel last night.
Vince took home the plum for his remarkable role as a student activist turned human rights defender for the controversial movie “Katips” of Philstagers Films.
He also won Best Director and Best Screenplay for the same movie.
Charo and Sunshine bagged the award stalemate for “Kun Maupay Man It Panahon” of Cinematografica Productions and Quantum Films and “Versus” ADCC Film Production, respectively.
Johnrey Rivas clinched the Best Supporting Actor trophy for “Katips” while Lotlot de de Leon won the Best Supporting Actress award for “OTJ: The Missing 8” of Reality Entertainment.
Meanwhile, “OTJ: The Missing 8“ was adjudged Best Film.
