Yes, it's Angela Ojeda Luz as she was introduced by the male emcee as the special guest during the opening of the art exhibit of exceptional artists of the contemporary art movement at the National Museum of Fine Arts at the National Museum of the Philippines in Manila Tuesday afternoon.
Also known as simply Angela Luz, who is, of course, the daughter of the late National Artist for Visual Arts Arturo Luz and the former girlfriend of comic Vic Sotto, she stood out in her fuschia long-sleeved tops and dark pants.
In her acceptance speech, Angela said she has learned to appreciate the classics even during her younger years because of her father but she is an art lover as well.
After the program, Angela with the rest of the arts managers in the country like Jeremy Barnes, Director of the National Museum, and Michelle Nikki Junia, President of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) among others, walked to Gallery XVII and Gallery XVIII to view the exemplary creations of contemporary artists that have shaped the visual expressions of the concept of luminance and the relationship between man and nature
As we negotiated the contents of the galleries, Angela spoke of her current relationship with Vic.
"We are still very good friends, " Luz quipped. "We just saw each other during the recent birthday of our granddaughter Sachi. He came along very happy for the third birthday of his apo," Angela happily informed.
Sachi is the daughter of Paulina Sotto and husband Jed Llanes.
Angela was at the National Museum of Fine Arts to witness the posthumous exhibit for his late dad and other renowned artists, dead and still living, who were influential as experimental and abstract artists of the 70s and 80s.
