TWICE may long have been favorites at home in South Korea, widely referred as the Nation’s Girl Group, but it seems they are setting their sights on global domination with their newest single “The Feels.”
Have you caught the feels yet?
Hits after hits, K-Pop girl group TWICE, has proven their charms, visuals, and talents all over the world with their hits like “What Is Love,” “I Can’t Stop Me,” and “Alcohol-Free.”
Now they are back with their first full English single “The Feels” and everyone has surely got the feels for the nine-member group.
Backed by a groovy bassline, the retro-funk pop track and its catchy lyrics are all about the instant, heart-stopping connection that two people feel when they experience love at first sight.
Along with the release of the single, the group also dropped an accompanying music video which is a prom-themed storyline.
TWICE perfectly played the part as the teenage girls getting ready for the prom, complete with intricate dance sequences, before finally attending the big bash.
ONCE’s, the group’s fandom name, were in for a surprise at the end of “The Feels” music video.
The end shot was a poster teasing TWICE’s upcoming activities, including their third full-length album expected for an October release and an upcoming tour.
The English single has reached No 1 on iTunes in 31 different countries in the first 24 hours of its release. This makes it TWICE’s first song to have the most #1s on iTunes.
“The Feels” is in the Top 3 of iTunes in the USA and Top 5 in Canada, making it their first song to reach this milestone.
TWICE may long have been favorites at home in South Korea, widely referred as the Nation’s Girl Group, but it seems they are setting their sights on global domination.
Although TWICE have previously released English-language tracks, “The Feels” marks their first official English single. In 2020, the girl group had released English versions of their singles “More & More” and “I Can’t Stop Me.”
They also dropped their first original English track “What You Waiting For” as a B-side on their 2019 Japanese album “&Twice.”
