The new Toy Story-themed hotel in Tokyo, slated to open this year, will make guests feel as if they’ve stepped into the world of toys but still filled with other amenities likes restaurants and shops.

Known as the fifth Disney hotel in Japan, the property is also expected to be the resort’s very first “moderate type” hotel, which gives guests a new accommodation option between the existing deluxe and value types offered at the other four hotels in the area

TOKYO Disney Resort has announced plans to open a new “Toy Story”-themed hotel this year.

The hotel and theme park industries have been struggling since last year due to the ongoing pandemic.

However, as things are slowly starting to go back to “normal,” Tokyo Disney Resort has announced that it will be opening a Toy Story-inspired hotel.

The project, which was first announced in 2018, will be named “Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel”, offering guests a truly magical and immersive hotel experience.

Set to open its doors later this year, the new hotel will be located right in front of Bayside Station on the Disney Resort Line with easy access to both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea theme parks.

Known as the fifth Disney hotel in Japan, the property is also expected to be the resort’s very first “moderate type” hotel, which gives guests a new accommodation option between the existing deluxe and value types offered at the other four hotels in the area.

Designers of the space aim to make guests feel as if they’ve “stepped into the world of toys.”

Situated outside Bayside Station on the Disney Resort Line, the 11-story building will be one of the most convenient hotels to access both the Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea parks.

Additionally, reports state that the upcoming hotel will be categorized as a “moderate-type” accommodation, which means that it will cater to those looking to stay no more than one night.

Prices per room will fall between the budget-friendly Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel and the luxe Disney Ambassador, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea Mira Costa hotels.

Featuring a colorful and playful exterior, as seen in a new concept art released by Tokyo Disney Resort, the 11-storey hotel will feature 595 guest rooms and a wealth of facilities including restaurants, car parks and shops that guarantees a comfortable and joyful stay.

From the entrance to the lobby and other areas, every corner of the hotel will be filled with intriguing decorations to bring to life the world of toys based on the animated classic.

The rooms will also be built based on the design of the bedroom of Andy, the franchise’s main character. (NP)
