Thailand added one new crown to their roster of international pageant titles as Chatnalin Chotjirawarachat bagged Miss Intercontinental 2023.
This is the second Miss Intercontinental Crown for Thailand.
Cristina Villegas Murillo of Mexico was chosen 1st runner-up, followed by Ngoc Hang Le Nguyen of Vietnam; Sara Damnjanovic of Serbia; Mare Salas of Colombia; Daria Reshta of Russia; and Christiana Sia Johnson of Sierra Leone.
The Philippines’ Iona Gibbs finished in the top 22 at the pageant.
Miss England received a special award for Miss Congeniality; Miss Poland for Miss Popularity; Miss Romania for Miss Sunrise Resorts; Miss Colombia for Best Body; the 1st Runner Up, Miss Mexico, is also Miss Photogenic; Miss Peru got the Best National Costume; the 3rd Runner Up, Miss Serbia, is also a People’s Choice Awardee; and Miss Intercontinental 2023, Miss Thailand, also bagged the Power of Beauty 2023 award.
Since 1971, when Miss Peru Magnolia Martinez was crowned Miss Intercontinental, the Philippines has brought home the crown twice: in 2018 for Karan Gallman and in 2021 for Cinderella Obeñita.
During the National Costume Competition, Gibbs wore Filipiniana Terno-Prisma, the creation of Daniel Manila Createur, channeling "the Sun, a revered symbol in both Philippines and Egyptian mythology."
