Swedish DJ Alesso disappoints fans after a no-show in his first concert in Manila after six years.

Among the number of concerts that happened over the country this past weekend, Alesso might be the leader in top worst show because he was a no show in his anticipated comeback in Manila.

On December 17 at the SMDC Festival Grounds, the Swedish DJ did not perform in a headlining concert managed by Ovation Productions, and only canceled his appearance hours before the show was about to start.

According to a post When in Manila, Ovation Production said in different social media platforms at 5 p.m. that the opening of doors was moved to 7p.m. due to inclement weather.

Originally, the show was set to open at 6:30 p.m. with Rico Arce as opening act, followed by supporting acts Ace Ramos, Martin Pulgar, Marc Marasigan, Rico Arce, KATDJ, Deuce, Katsy Lee, David Ardiente, and ACRAZE, Alesso’s set was scheduled for 12 a.m.

The production company then followed with a now-deleted Facebook post (that is still making the rounds online), that Alesso will no longer be performing for that night, agitating the concert-goers to demand for further updates and refunds.

Ovation also added that ACRAZE was still performing and that entrance to the night’s show was free as the tickets were initially priced at P4,990 and P6,990.

What irked the audience more was that Alesso was seen posting a video in his Instagram account of having a DJ set in Bali on Saturday, at around the same time he was supposed to perform in Manila as reported by GMA News.

“You have the audacity to post that you had a great time in Bali at the moment that you should have been in Manila. Tell me, how does it feel to disappoint people with your unprofessionalism?” one angry netizen replied to his post and among the hundreds of people demanding an explanation under the comment section of his post.

The DJ quickly replied and posted another story for his apologies to the Filipinos who went to the show to witness him perform.

“Manila, due to unforeseen circumstances that were out of my own control, I’m deeply sorry that my show was canceled,” he wrote.

“Me and my team are doing our best to make it up to you,” he promised. “I’m so sorry for this! [broken heart emoji]”

Alesso’s first show in the country after six long years turned disastrous and as of writing, Ovation Productions has yet to release a statement regarding the canceled show.
