Korea’s biggest boyband BTS has worked with their British counterpart Coldplay for “My Universe,” about crossing boundaries for love.

WHAT do you get when you put BTS and Coldplay together? Everything we’ve ever asked for in pop music.

It is definitely worthy of being titled “My Universe” as two of the biggest music acts in the globe are heading for a collaboration this September 24.

Written by both BTS and Coldplay members, the single will be sung in both English and Korean for all their fans to enjoy. “My Universe” is produced by the legendary producer Max Martin.

There have been reports of this collaboration as early as July this year. However, no official announcements were made until last September 12.

BTS recently sat down with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin for a special episode of YouTube Originals' weekly music series ''Released'' ahead of the premiere of ''BTS 'Permission to Dance' MV (Shorts Challenge version).''

In February, the Korean group covered Coldplay's 2005 hit number ''Fix You'' on MTV Unplugged.

The British group later shared a link of BTS' special performance on Twitter, writing ''beautiful'' in Korean and signed ''Love'' in English, along with the individual initials of the members of the band, also including Guy Berryman, Will Champion, and Jonny Buckland.

According to Chris Martin, the main vocalist for Coldplay, “My Universe” is about crossing boundaries for love.

“We really don’t believe in any boundaries or separation of anything really, and so the song ‘My Universe’ is about someone being told they can’t love a certain other person, or can’t be with this race, or they can’t be gay – whatever it might be.”

After the release of their collaboration, BTS and Coldplay are scheduled to perform at the upcoming Global Citizen Live event on September 25 which will be held across 8 cities around the world: New York City, Lagos, Paris, Rio De Janeiro, Los Angeles, and London.

This is the second single to be lifted from “Music Of The Spheres” following Coldplay’s comeback hit “Higher Power,” earlier this year.

They also later shared the album’s closing track ‘Coloratura’ and confirmed they will soon be releasing a new track called ‘Weirdo’ as part of a musical. Coldplay’s ninth studio album, which was also produced by Max Martin, will be out on October 15.
