Lapillus' Chanty officially joins GMA network under Sparkle Entertainment after her successful debut in South Korea last June.
Filipina-Argentinian Chanty Videla of K-pop girl group Lapillus has been signed by GMA Artist Center under Sparkle on November 11.
Sparkle shared the good news on social media, saying,
"Chanty Videla of K-pop girl group Lapillus is now part of the Sparkle family!"
GMA News reported that the singer-actress inked her first deal with the network when she recently visited the country in the last months with her group Lapillus for a meet and greet with their fans.
The group then appeared in several local television shows and radio appearances including Eat Bulaga! and All-Out Sundays to perform their show and promote their latest comeback.
Chanty was born in the country and raised in Argentina, but began her professional career in the entertainment industry as an actress in 2018.
During her career in the country, Chanty has worked with Donny Pangilinan and Charlie Dizon, and made appearances in local teleseryes like Spirits: Reawaken, Hiwaga Ng Kambat, and Starla as reported by cosmo.ph.
After spending some time in the Philippine industry, Chanty moved to South Korea to train under MLD Entertainment and was put in the girl group Lapillus, making their debut last June 2022.
Lapillus, named after a kind of gem that shines in different colors, is a six-piece group composed of Chanty, Shana, Yue, Seowon, Haeun, and Bessie.
While Chanty was promoting with her group, she has consistently shown her love for the Philippines and proudly mentioned her hometown in different Korean variety shows and interviews.
The signing was graced by some of GMA Network's executives such as GMA SVP Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, Sparkle AVP for Talent Management Joy Marcelo, SAVP for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara, Sparkle Senior Talent Manager Vic del Rosario and MLD Entertainment's CEO and Producer Lee Hyoungjin.
