"Megastar" Sharon Cuneta says she and former sexy star Rosanna Roces actually get well with each other as they kick off their first screen project together.
Sharon believes this is the perfect timing for a real friendship between her and Rosanna unlike when the latter was on the peak of her career in the nineties.
THIS is the first time Sharon Cuneta and Rosanna Roces will work together in a film and doing it is quite a memorable experience for both of them.
The first time they saw and acted with each other in the big screen project, “Revirginized” they already gelled.
Sharon believes this is the perfect timing for a real friendship between her and Rosanna unlike when the latter was on the peak of her career in the nineties.

“Osang is so sweet, caring, funny and nice! I really think na tinaon ng Diyos na ngayon lang kami magkasama sa isang project at magkakilala. Siguro kung nung (unang) kasikatan niya kami nagkasama, di kami magiging magkaibigan. Kasi sabi nga niya, ibang-iba siya at ang buhay niya noon. Baka di siguro kami magkasundo,” Sharon said.
(God made this happen the first time we’re together and to get familiar with each other. When it was the first wave of her popularity that we’re together, we might not be friends. It was she who even said that her life then was very different. We might not hope to get along well).
Now she has been through so much in her rollercoaster of a life, and has mellowed and changed so much.
She is so wonderful and I already miss her pag wala siya sa set at eksena ko (if she’s not on the set and our scene together). I thank God for the opportunity He has given me to get to know this lovely person in His time, right now!” stated Sharon in her social media posts.
Cuneta is hopeful this is the beginning of their friendship. “Parang umpisa na natin ito, Ms. O... parang mamahalin talaga kita lalo (It’s like a good start…I think I will love you more!)” Thanks so much for the gifts, the hugs, today!!! The Megastar was a revelation to Roces during the series of shoots they had in Subic.
“Mas madami pa tawanan namin sa eksenang kinunan.. super daldal din pala ang megastar pag nakasundo mo. Ansaya-saya nya kausap (The laughter we had was more than the funny scenes taken..the megastar is super talkative as well if you gelled together. She’s an animated conversant),” noted Osang in her Instagram.
Even if Rosanna had no schedule of shoots, she would pay Sharon a visit on the set even at nighttime. “I had fun last night..sorry shawie hanggang 1:30am lang kinaya ng powers ko. Mamaya tambay ulit ako sa set para di ka mainip. Grabe di nauubos ang kwento.. pero mas masarap kang tingnan at pakinggan..na di pa tapos ang kwento mo nauna na ang mga halakhak mong totoong totoo”.
(Shawie, sorry, my energy could only last until 1:30 am. Later, I’d linger around on the set so that you wouldn’t get bored. My God! You didn’t run out of stories.. but you’re more pleasant to look at and listen to..you laugh sincerely ahead of your story),” she observed.
“Nagpasyal kami kagabi sa beach scene ng megastar... grabe ansaya. Medyo nauna na ako . 4am kasi matatapos. Nakakatuwa ang kwento ng anak ko na kasama sa party scene. Pagka pack up daw ay nagpaalam si @reallysharoncuneta sa lahat.. including the crew. Yan ay kahit pagod na pagod at puyat na sya. Kaya pala sya naging megastar. Napaka makatao. Mamahalin mo talaga sya
(I paid the megastar a visit in her beach scene…the fun was great. I went ahead, though, because the scene would be until 4am. I love the anecdote of my kid who was in the party scene. According to my child, Sharon bid all goodbyes after the pack-up despite her being tired and sleepless. That’s why she became a megastar. She’s humane. You’d really love her),” Osang said.
