Cubales, however, is no ordinary senior citizen.
Accordingo to her website, she is an international fashion and jewelry designer who’s also a veteran when it comes to beauty pageants.
She works for the Jocelyn & Gunter Pilarsky Foundation and helped Gintong Palad at the Balikatan Foundation. Both with health, education, social welfare, and other civic advocacies that help the Philippines and Armenia.
Cubales has participated in various national and international pageants in the past, including Mrs. Universe Philippines 2017, Mrs. Ecotourism 2014, Mrs. Asia International Global 2014, and Mrs. Asia International 2014, among others.
Her bid comes after the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) made several changes to the qualification requirements for the aspiring beauty queens, including the scrapping of the age limit requirements as well as allowing married women and mothers to compete in the pageant.
