The rift between ex-pals Derek Ramsay and John Estrada is now water under the bridge.
It cannot be denied, though, that their friendship has been tarnished by the involvement of Ellen Adarna, Derek’s fiancée. It all started when Ellen—as John’s leading lady in TV5’s “John & Ellen” show—had complained about the unnecessary off-cam movements on the set like violating health protocols in the location studio and allegedly drinking liquor in the workplace even while in lull period which reportedly affected her sense of decorum and safety from the spread of COVID-19.
In the end, Adarna had to leave the show which aggravated the whole situation especially the production since Estrada was the producer of the sitcom.
Upon Derek’s own admission that he and John weren’t friends or he didn’t want to associate himself with Estrada anymore, the gentleman’s agreement of valuing friendship went kaput.
Was Ellen’s departure from the show a blessing in disguise because she and Derek have their own vlog which features the casual, off-the-cuff and even their intimate moments?
Life goes on for Adarna and Ramsay.
They have now all the time in the world for themselves.
Last week, the couple with Elias—John Lloyd Cruz’s son with Ellen—went frolicking in Siargao. While Elias is in his mom’s custody as per arrangement with Lloydie, it’s Derek turn to play dad to him which the little boy cherishes.
