RM of BTS set to make his solo debut in November after the release of Jin’s single last month.
Kim Nam-joon aka RM, leader of the international sensation BTS, will be the next member to drop a solo album as reported by JTBC News on November 1 KST.
The report stated that RM is currently working on his album and wrapping up his preparations for his promotions with an initial schedule of release on November 25.
BTS’ agency BIGHIT MUSIC confirmed the news saying, “It’s true that RM is planning to release his solo album. He is currently preparing for it.”
His solo artist journey kicked off in 2015 with the release of his mixtape ‘RM,’ which was then followed by a second mixtape ‘Mono’ which debuted in 2018.
RM’s next project will be his first solo album, making him the third member of BTS to debut as soloists after j-hope and Jin.
The news of the solo projects of the members came after releasing their anthology album Proof, announcing that the group will be on an indefinite hiatus to focus on their own careers.
The septet went on to reunite for a concert with a cause in Busan for their ‘Yet To Come in Busan’ to boost the town’s tourism wherein the group announced that Jin will be making his solo debut with the song ‘The Astronaut’.
Following the concert, BIGHIT MUSIC confirmed that the group will be completing their mandatory military service in South Korea in their respective times and are expected to be complete again in 2025.
Meanwhile, RM also recently confirmed his appearance on tvN's 'The Mysterious Dictionary of Useless Human Knowledge,' as one of the hosts alongside film director Jang Hang Joon and recently joined forces with alternative K-pop group Balming Tiger on a single titled “SEXY NUKIM.”
