"Mabuti naman po at nakapunta kayo kahit napakalayo ng bahay namin (It's good you made it even if our house is too far)," exclaimed "Pusong Bato" original singer Aimee Torres who celebrated her 48th birthday at Metrogate, a suburban village in Dasmarinas City, Cavite.

"Napakahalaga po ng araw na ito para sa akin dahil kasama ko pa po ang tatay ko na nagdiriwang din ng kanyang kaarawan ngayon (This day is very memorable for me because my father is still around celebrating his birthday with me)," the teary-eyed Aimee said, referring to her dad Manny Torres who celebrated his 77th year.
"Nang dahil po sa aking ama at aking ina, natupad ko ang aking mga pangarap na makapagtapos ng pag-aaral, makapag-artista at maging (Because of my dad and mom, I was able to finish my studies, enter show business and to become a) singer," recalled Torres.
"Hindi ko po kayo makakalimutan (I cannot forget you)," she added and then sobbed completely before her guests.

Before Aimee sang her signature song "Pusong Bato, " she serenaded her guests with an inspirational song "Kung Wala Kayo, Wala Ako," a ditty included in her record album "Pusong Bato" about the love of a child to her/his parents which made her cry profusely. Torres finished her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications major in Public Relations from the Lyceum of the Philippines in Manila.

Other showbiz celebs who joined Aimee in celebrating her and her dad's natal days were Natasha Ledesna, Pantene Palanca, the Jackstone Brothers, Lynn Madrigal and Genelyn Magsaysay, the love partner of the late actor and senator Ramon Revilla, Jr. and media people Art Tapalla, Sonny Ilustre and Alice Vergara.
