TCG Live will not only allow players to build their own decks as well as online battles, but they can customize their own avatars and complete daily quests.

FOR children growing up in the 2000’s, the Pokémon trading card game phenomenon was a huge part of their childhood memories.

Often, kids will be bringing these trading cards to school or in the playground to play with their friends and trade Pokémon cards.

Now, almost 23 years since it first came out in December 1998, the Pokémon Company is finally giving the world a straightforward way to play the Pokémon trading card game digitally, online, and on your smartphone.

Announced today, the new app is called Pokémon TCG Live and it couldn’t be coming at a better time with the Pokémon card game once again exploding in popularity.

TCG Live will not only allow players to build their own decks as well as online battles, but they can customize their own avatars and complete daily quests.

The game also allows players to connect their own physical card decks to the online version.

Players will have the opportunity to upload the cards they get from real-life booster packs to add to their digital card pack.

Players can compile their personal card collection that can be used to build powerful and exciting decks.

New cards may be added by scanning code cards, purchasing in-game booster packs, and participating in daily quests, among others.

What’s more is that Pokémon TCG Live brings players together from all over the world to battle. TCG is launching in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese, so you'll always find a player ready to take you on.

The game will start out by the player creating and outfitting a custom avatar in a similar manner to Pokémon Go, which was the augmented reality mobile game that Pokémon released in 2016. The game features side activities such as daily quests.

The TCG Live App launches later this year for PC, Mac, iOS, and Android, according to The Pokémon Company.
