A few days after Filipino actress Lovi Poe posted on her Instagram diverse photos and videos on her pregnancy, she gave birth to her child, with husband Montgomery Blencowe.

Sans identity, Lovi noted in her Facebook wall this good news:

"The moment I met you, instinct took over. Welcome to the world, my love,” wrote Lovi on her Facebook wall.

She also publicized her poetry of sorts about the condition of her body before she was visited by the stork.

Her nine-month infanticipation was a philosophical montage of her thoughts and emotions.

"For years I’ve used #LoviYourBody as a way to honor my being

With every workout and every choice I make celebrating it in its best shape and from

I embrace a whole new chapter carrying life within me

This is the most beautiful transformation yet and I am in awe of

what my body is capable of

From strength to softness from discipline to surrender

I’m learning to love my body in an even deeper way

#LoviYourBody has always been about self-love

and now it’s about embracing every curve, change

and this miracle of life unfolding here’s to honoring every phase

of womanhood

Here’s to love

Here’s to life.”

Incidentally, the furor on her pregnancy and eventual giving birth coincided with the premiere showing of her film "Lakambini Gregoria de Jesus" at the University of the Philippines Film Institute (UPFI) Cine Adarna.

On the invite to the event, Pelikulove, the company that produced the movie, carried with it the message that Lovi would be featured in a livestream video from the US where she is staying with Monty at the moment.

It was an exciting idea to watch Poe deliver her message to the press and the general public.

It was interesting news that would definitely show her state of maternity at the same time talk about her movie.

During the press conference prior to the screening of the film, the resource persons and panelists at the Q@A portion were Ellen Ongkeko-Marfil, producer; Arjanmar Rebeta, director; Jeffrey Jeturian, co-producer and co-director; Gina Pareno, actress who played Gregoria de Jesus in her old age; Rocco Nacino, actor who portrayed Andres Bonifacio; Elora Espano, actress who essayed another generation in the life of de Jesus; Prof. Xiao Chua, historian and consultant in the filming of the biopic and Dr. Rosario Sapitan, Executive Director for Administration of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP).

After substantial exchanges of ideas and information about the film and other related discussion, a video clip of Lovi from the US was shown but obviously it wasn't a livestream copy.

Just the same, Poe reminded the leaders of the Philippine government to be more mindful in the interest of the Filipinos and encouraged the moviegoers to watch "Lakambini Gregoria de Jesus."

Anyway, I presumed that during the occasion, Lovi was already in her maternity stage because the day after the presscon and preem night, she announced her motherhood.

In the film, Poe is impressive as Ka Oriang, the Muse of the Katipunan and the so-called Mother of Philippine revolution in 1896.

Lovi is tailor-made for the role physically, intellectually, emotionally and politically oriented about the persona of the wife of Andres, referred to as the Father of the Revolution and the First President of the Philippines.

According to Ellen, she chose to transform the life of Gregoria from Caloocan to highlight her as a major heroine in Philippine history.

"Gregoria de Jesus is almost forgotten. She isn't even studied in schools. I am happy that a bill is being drafted to make her a subject in Philippine history," Ongkeko-Marfil beamed.

Ms. Pareno, Elora, Rocco, Paulo Avelino and the late Spanky Manikan as the young and old Julio Nakpil, respectively, are commendable.

"Lakambini Gregoria de Jesus" is a must-see doc drama of this generation.
