Rita Gaviola, known as “Badjao Girl,” posted photos of her baby girl Kia and a man believed to be her parnets on her Instagram account, surprising netizens.

Reality star Rita Gaviola, popularly known as Badjao Girl, surprised netizens of the news of her baby girl, Kia, and her new family after uploading a series of pictures on her social media account last Monday.

The teen-star posted a picture of her holding baby Kia and then posted another picture, this time with her partner, showing off her family picture.

“Mahal ko kayo,” she wrote.

Raviola did not explain the sudden news, nor introduce the man that people are speculating to be the father of her baby.

The comment section of her post was then flooded with congratulatory messages and heaps of support from her fans.

However, some netizens were quick to criticize not only Rita, but also her child.

The new mom pleaded to the public to take a closer look at her child and address the hate towards her, but is still thankful for the support that she has been getting.

"Sa mga na-disappoint or madami pang sasabihin sa akin, buhay ko 'yung tinatahak ko, tsaka madami pa akong kayang gawin and maraming salamat po sa mga sumusuporta kasama na namin si Baby Kia sa susunod na mga vlog namin," she said.

Gaviolo gained popularity in 2016 after she went viral begging with her brother on the streets during the Pahiyas Festival in Lucban, Quezon, hence gaining the nickname “Badjao Girl”.

She then entered the Big Brother house in "Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7" where she was dubbed the "Badjao Girl of Lucena,” together with Juan Karlos Labajo, Maymay Entrata and Kisses Delavin, among others.

Last February, she joined “It’s Showtime: Sexy Babe” where she was named a daily round winner.
