Nadine Lustre responds to a netizen who called her fat by directly addressing her and lecturing about acceptance and body positivity.

WHAT happens when you call out Nadine Lustre for her body?

You get a direct response from the no-nonsense queen on social media.

On October 26, a Twitter user made uncalled-for comments about Nadine's body and her rumored new boyfriend Christophe Bariou and claimed that he would eventually be displeased with her if she continues looking that same way.

The user even tagged her in the tweet which caught Nadine’s attention and she let her know it.

The tweet reads:

"Why @hello_nadine ang chuba mo na, wala ang butt, wala nang curve, sabagay wala ka nang insecurities sa katawan kasi tanggap ka ni Chris kahit maging big ka pa, kaso baka 'pag nagsawa at makakita ng mas bata iwan ka rin. 'Wag magpabola kasi hindi ka naman bolang dini-dribble think twice or thrice lagi."

The 27-year old savagely clapped back at the Twitter user with the statement “ew body shamer”. Her tweet also immediately gained supportive comments from other netizens defending her from the rude commenter.

Nadine Lustre has always been vocal about body positivity and self love using her platform. In a collaboration vlog with Angel Dei in 2020, she advised the viewers to “Love yourself. Love the skin that you're in. And you know, don't be ashamed of anything. That's what the universe gave you. Accept it. Just, you know, just be yourself."

This is still a very common malpractice on the internet especially to famous artists.

Body shaming has been a toxic conversation that targets a lot of women in the industry.

While it is true that show business still mostly adheres to toxic beauty standards, it simply isn’t right to make other people uncomfortable in their own skin just because you’re worried about their “competition.”
