Aspiring beauty queens in Lucban and Quezon Province now have the chance to showcase their beauty and prowess on the Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) stage.

This, following the signing of the Accreditation Partnership between Gerald Ortiz and the Miss Universe Philippines Organization.

Present at the contract signing were Miss Universe Philippines National Director Shamcey Supsup-Lee, its directors for accreditation partner, Joseph Rivera and Arnold Mercado, and businessman and CPT President Lloyd Lee.

In April 2023, the MUPH Organization announced the restructuring of their selection process through the “Accredited Partners Program.”

The accredited partners will hold local pageants, and only the winners of these local pageants will be able to compete in the Miss Universe Philippines.

There is no news yet on the search for Miss Universe Philippines—Lucban.

MUPh announced the coronation night for some of its local accredited partners on Instagram:

  • January 19, Pampanga
  • January 20, Batangas
  • January 21, Naic
  • January 27, Cagayan de Oro
  • January 28, Bohol
  • January 31, Tacloban
  • February 3, Cebu
  • February 4, Albay
  • February 5, Quezon City

The winner will succeed the reigning Miss Universe Philippines, Michelle Marquez Dee. She finished in the top 10 in the 72nd edition of Miss Universe and won several special awards, including one of the three gold winners of the Voice for Change competition, the Spirit of the Carnival Award, and Best in National Costume.

Confirmation on how many crowns will be awarded in this season of Miss Universe Philippines is yet to be announced. Last year, the Top 3 of the MUPh had the chance to compete on the international stage, where Pauline Amelinckx, Miss Supranational 2023 1st Runner Up and a Woman of Substance, and Krishnah Gravidez, who will compete for Miss Charm 2024, were crowned in a separate ceremony.

Pauline was also crowned the 1st Miss Philippines upon the launch of the Filipino Festival. She was succeeded by Alethea Ambrosio from Laguna; however, TFF hasn’t yet announced the international pageant in which she will compete.

Aside from Miss Universe Philippines, Miss Supranational Philippines, and Miss Charm Philippines, the Empire Philippines is the franchise holder for Mister Filipinas Worldwide, who will compete in Mister Supranational, and Miss Asia Pacific International.
