Moira dela Torre makes her Qatar trip a memorable one after granting a fan’s request to bring danggit
Moira dela Torre, aside from bringing joy and serenading her fans in Doha, Qatar, has fulfilled one fan’s request of a pack of “danggit,” a small dried fish considered a delicacy in Cebu, during her February 10 concert.
The exchange between the two parties started back in January after the Qatar-based Filipino fan, who goes by the username Boy Ulam Lutong Bahay on Facebook, commented on one of Moira’s promotional posts and requested the singer to kindly bring him danggit since she’s Qatar-bound anyway.
“Manonood po ako ng concert mo sa Qatar. [Pwede] pasabuy po ng danggit? Bayaran [ko] dito,” he wrote in dela Torre’s post, reported Cebu Daily News.
To which the singer immediately and laughably responded to the fan’s witty request saying, “Hanep (Wow).”
After going viral for this exchange with a fan, dela Torre once again made the crowd and the whole social media scene delighted with her actions as during her concert in the Qatar Asian Town Ampitheater she surprised the fans and brought out the danggit for the fan.
“Kuya Christian, inaagaw na ‘yung danggit mo. Ipaglaban mo ang danggit mo,” she said.
“Nice to meet you, Kuya. Nagpasabuy pa po kayo… sana magustuhan niyo po ‘yung danggit. Ako pa po ang nagbalot niyan.”
She reposted a video of the hilarious moment on her Facebook page on Feb. 11 with the caption: “Sana masaya po kayo sa danggit, kyah. Last mo na ‘yan, kyah,” which has garnered almost 7,000 likes and 10,000 shares as of this writing.
The fulfilled fan then took the time to thank the singer in a series of posts on his Facebook page.
The Qatar-based fan also thanked the singer in a series of posts on his Facebook page, including a picture of themselves during their encounter.
“Binyagan ko na ‘to, idol Moira Dela Torre.” He added in a separate video he posted, reported PhilStar.
“Cravings satisfied!”
