The most anticipated pageant in the country named its new Queens: then Miss World 2019 and Miss Universe Tourism 2022 Michelle Marquez Dee is Miss Universe Philippines (MU Ph) while Miss Zambales Christine Juliane Opiaza as First Runner Up, and the pageant darkhorse, Miss Pampanga Angelique Manto, in Second Place.

In the separate ceremony, another pageant veteran and last year's Miss Universe Charity, Pauline Amelinckx, will represent the country as Miss Supranational Philippines 2023 while Miss Baguio Krishnah Gravidez is Miss Charm Philippines.

This is the first time that the Miss Universe Philippines Organization holds three titles that will send representatives to the international pageants.

In the last two seasons of the Miss Universe Philippines, they crowned Miss Universe Philippines Charity and Miss Universe Philippines Tourism. These titles did not compete in international pageants but represented the organization's advocacies on charitable activities and tourism.

Technical difficulties shocked the audience as the unexpected reformatting happened during the coronation night. From the 38 delegates, 18 ladies were chosen to advance to the next round. Following that, the top 18 was cut down to Top 10, in which Miss Pampanga was surprisingly not included.

However, after the short break, MU Ph scrapped the initially announced Top 10 and went back to the Top 18 candidates who showcased the glamour of their evening gowns.

From Top 18, the Final Five were chosen and faced the two rounds of Question and Answer (Q&A) portions.

On the first Q&A round, five different questions were asked and, on the final round, the candidates were asked similar questions.

Aside from the titles, major special awards were also given: Michelle Dee got the Best in Evening Gown and the Miss Ponds, also, during the preliminaries, the Miss Aqua Boracay and Miss Zion Philippines plums; Krishnah Gravidez, Best in Swimsuit; Miss Agusan Del Norte Jannarie Zarzoso, Face of Social Media and a recipient of Special award from Kingston International College, and Miss Capiz, Shayne Maquiran, as Miss Congeniality.

Pauline Amelinckx, on the other hand, bagged 10 special awards during the Preliminary competition. These are Miss Creamsilk Ultimate, Miss Soen, Miss Kemans Body, Miss Origee Beauty Drink by Skin Magical, Miss Hello Glow, Miss Jojo Bragain, Miss Titan Universe, Miss Enderun, Miss Smilee Apparel, and Miss Avana.

Then came the darkhorse, Miss Pampanga Angelique Manto, who made impressive remarks, got named in the prelims as Miss Avon, Miss Okasa, Miss Jewelmer, and Miss Cavaso.

The Grand Coronation night was dazzled remarkable personalities in the industry including the new owner of Miss Universe, Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip, Miss Universe President Paula Shugart, Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi, and the reigning Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel.

The Philippines is taking the first step towards the upcoming 72nd edition of Miss Universe to be held in El Salvador.
