McCoy de Leon issues public apologies amid break up rumors with partner Elisse Joson following a viral post of him and a social media influencer looking cozy next to each other
McLisse, the sensationalized couple from the reality TV show “Pinoy Big Brother," have split as confirmed by Mccoy de Leon on January 4.
McCoy issued a series of stories which contained his apology regarding the issue surrounding his relationship with Elisse Joson, whom he shares a one-year-old child with.
In his Instagram stories, de Leon wrote:
“Sorry po, pasensya na po sa inyong lahat… Hindi po totoo ‘yung mga convo na kumakalat, hindi po ako ‘yun. Pasensya na po ulit.”
“Wala pong [involved] na ibang tao [sa] pinaka rason kaya kami naghiwalay. Sana po maniwala po kayo,” he added in his updates which he deleted shortly after making it public, reported ABS CBN.
De Leon’s spontaneous posting came after a picture of him and Mary Joy Santiago made rounds on social media looking cozy, which sparked the rumor that he and Joson have already separated.
Speculations of the couple’s break- up started during the holiday season as both de Leon and Joson posted pictures of their celebrations and getaways , none of it showing them together during those times.
“Wala pong [involved] na ibang tao [sa] pinaka rason kaya kami naghiwalay. Sana po maniwala po kayo,” he wrote regarding the third party issue.
“Hindi ko po intensyon [na] manakit ng tao o manloko. Sadyang dumating lang po sa point na sobrang bigat lang ng problema kaya po ako sumuko.”
De Leon, 27, and Joson, 26, developed their relationship after meeting in the “Lucky 7” edition of PBB as housemates in July 2016 and eventually turned their relationship into real romance with their supporters calling the pair “McLisse.”
However, after almost two years of dating publicly, the two announced their break up in March 2018 after going through a hard time in their relationship.
Shortly after the breakup, the ex-couple would eventually work as onscreen partners in the romantic film “Sakaling Maging Tayo,” that led to the two making amends and continuing to work on their relationship.
It was only in March of 2020 that de Leon and Joson publicly announced that they have gotten back together and a couple of months after, Joson revealed her pregnancy and the pair welcomed their daughter Felize in April 2021.
During the series of posting done by de Leon, he re-uploaded a picture of him and Felize with the caption, “Lagi mong tatandaan na mahal kita. IKAW lang ang nakakaalam. IKAW lang ang makakaintindi sa akin. IKAW lang ang maasahan ko. IKAW lang ang rason kaya ako nabubuhay. IKAW lang ang lahat lahat ko,” which he also edited out after some hours after, reported Inquirer.
