Markus Paterson claims he will and never have hurt a woman, says “my parents raised me right”

Actor Markus Paterson said he would never hurt a woman as he denied rumors of his alleged violence towards his ex-partner Janella Salvador that might have caused their breakup.

Paterson wrote his denials in a series of tweets in his personal Twitter account after seeing the circulating news about the issue.

"Saw some tweets circulating. FACT: I have NEVER, and WILL never lay my hands on a woman," he said.
"My parents raised me right. I’ll address the rest on the podcast," he added.

The speculations started when a past interview of Salvador with talent manager-comedian Ogie Diaz, resurfaced on social media in which the actress opened up about her trauma of being around drunk men.

She was then asked about how Paterson deals with this trauma and his adjustments with his alcohol intake, Janella hesitantly answered and told Diaz that the couple were still “working on it” at the time.

Paterson was also criticized recently after a clip from the video podcast “Boys After Dark” of Rise Artists Studio uploaded on September 3 went viral after being asked a question about relationships.

“Kung may lessons ako sa mga relationships ko, never to date someone in the industry, bro,” he said. “Huwag niyo i-cut iyan, seryoso ako diyan.”

Salvador and Paterson, who made their relationship public in 2020, revealing their one-year-old son, Jude, were speculated to have split after the alleged no-show of the actress in Paterson’s birthday celebration in June.

Despite staying silent regarding the issue for quite some time, Salvador has apparently confirmed their break up after describing herself as a single mom while appearing in Bernadette Sambrano’s vlog.

"Being a single mom. Talagang inilalaban ko 'yon. At the end of the day alam ko namang kaya ko siya,," Salvador claimed.
