It was a pleasant surprise when Filipino international star Lea Salonga was recently paid a visit in her dressing room by a former co-star in the hit Broadway play "Miss Saigon."
It happened after the curtain call of the West End's current show, "Sondheim's Old Friends," a tribute to the celebrated musician and composer Stephen Sondheim ("West Side Story," "The Gypsy," and "Sweeney Todd," among others).
Lea was elated when Hollywood actor and The Engineer in Lea's Kim in "Miss Saigon" Jonathan Pryce showed up backstage to congratulate her on her participation in the Sondheim show.
"When a former co-star and absolute acting giant shows up. Thank you for being there, dear Jonathan," Lea noted in her Instagram.
Pryce is known for his memorable performances in the blockbusters "The Crown" and "Tomorrow Never Dies," among others.
