Queen of All Media Kris Aquino is in town still nursing her autoimmune disease complication and how.
It seems Kris isn’t feeling low when she dished out that her health is still in bad shape with all those sensitive medical treatments she underwent, here and abroad.
Recently, she had a PET (Positron Emission Tomography) scan in the Philippines to find out if she has cancer.
Most of Aquino’s vital organs are affected by her lupus illness.
When the results of the PET scan were released and shown to her recently, the doctor was glad to inform his patient that she is cancer-free.
Still, Kris has to face up with other health issues.
But she seems unfazed by all these life-threatening diagnosis.
It is because the actress and TV hostess is sure of herself.
She wants to survive for her loved ones like her dear children Josh and Bimby.
The Queen of All Media’s mantra is “Laban,” the same outcry her family (especially when her parents Ninoy Aquino, Cory and Noynoy were leaders of the country) has been shouting in defiance and opposition to harbingers of injustice, poverty, corruption, violence and other ills that our society has been suffering from.
This time, it might be the pains she experiences because of her maladies but it could also be symbolic of her subliminal political convictions.
Could her homecoming be a sign of her undying love for the country and her followers (read: the Filipinos who believe in her) now that the midterm elections are just around the corner?
Could she be a symbol of unity among the people against incompetent and undemocratic politicians?
In her Instagram, Aquino noted and highlighted her cause for life and freedom. “I promised myself, BAWAL SUMUKO (DON’T GIVE UP). I need a goal, something for all of us to look forward to. #tuloyang laban (continue the fight),” she digitally articulated.
At the same time, on the personal level, Kris never ignores but confronts no matter how virtual nasty talks or fake news that come her way.
Lately, she was figured in a controversy that she got married in an outdoor wedding with her doctor-boyfriend or she was already dead, two big news she confronted and vehemently denied.
She’s still alive, after all.
Kris also clarified the issue about her “wedding.”
“Apologies, but until my groom and I exchange vows, in that very small wedding (but surely not held outdoors) I’m choosing to keep my relationship private. Ibalato na nyo sa kin yun (Just give it to me). Invited naman kayong lahat if and when sa kasal (you are all invited to the wedding if ever),” she wrote.
In her long narrative she posted in her IG, she mentioned about a doctor named Mike who she said people should have known and identified him already.
She also gave some clues that she is ready for a showbiz comeback in the near future although she didn’t mention details about it. She’s not even namedropping concrete plans.
Thinking about it, though, a TV show for her in the offing.
“Para hindi kayo magsawang magdasal. Sabi nyo (So you don’t get tired of praying for me. You said), you miss watching me. I want to thank my former ABS-CBN bosses for allowing Jasmin and Darla to work with me in a show before 2024 ends.
“Secret muna yung (for the moment) concept but you will get to see my present-day journey and as much as possible, the reality of Kris, Bimb and ‘my through the years’ best friends (my extended family) ang definitely my team of doctors who are now among my trusted friends," she explained.
