Bulacan Gov. Daniel Fernando sent a bouquet of flowers to the funeral wake of the late actress Angie Ferro at the new chapel of the St. Peter Memorial Homes along Quezon Ave. and Scout Chuatoco where her remains were for five days.

"Naglakad dito ang mga bulaklak pero ang sabi, darating siya, (The flowers walked through here but it was said he would come)," lamented Emma, one of the younger sisters of the departed film, stage and television thespian at the wake Monday afternoon.

It wasn't clear, though, if Daniel's promise came from the actor himself at the death of Angie or was it during her sickbed.

According to Emma who recalled she and family were raising money for the hospitalization of her sis.

"Ang sabi ni Daniel Fernando, darating siya, walang Daniel Fernandong dumating (He promised to show up but no Daniel Fernando appeared)," exclaimed Emma in the presence of actress Nadia Montenegro and movie writer Art Tapalla, this writer's companion at the time.

"May nagsabi, darating daw si Imelda Papin, walang dumating na Imelda Papin (There was someone who said Imelda Papin would come but no Imelda Papin came)," said Emma loudly presuming she was in a private room and no one could interpret her speaking in high tone.

Imelda's no-show was also presumably during Angie's hospitalization.

Daniel was once Angie's student in an acting workshop while Imelda is the president of the Katipunan ng mga Artista ng Pelikulang Pilipino at Telebisyon or Actors Guild.

We texted Governor Fernando on the rants of Angie's kin but he still has to reply.

Meanwhile, we called Imelda about the issue and it was her younger sis Aileen Grace Arcilla Papin who took our call which we would report in a separate write-up.
