South Korean actor Kim Seon-ho makes his comeback in a play and is set to premier in his first film later this year.

South Korean actor Kim Seon-ho recently made his comeback in the industry in a play, Touching The Void, on July 8 after his hiatus following the forced abortion controversy that included his former girlfriend.

The actor turned emotional in his first press conference since the scandal while reading a handwritten note of his apology letter to the public.

According to AKP News, Seon-ho appeared crying in front of reporters as he read his apology letter at the press conference for the play Touching the Void which will serve as his comeback acting project after his hiatus.

"I am a little nervous and thought I might speak incoherently so I wrote this down. I hope you can understand with open hearts," he said.

The 36-year-old then added: "I'm deeply sorry for bad news that has caused concerns to many people. I've looked back on my past and reflected on my conduct," he said while sobbing.

The actor was dragged into a false abortion claim scandal by his ex-girlfriend nine months ago and has kept a low profile since October.

Kim's former girlfriend alleged that the actor has forced her into an abortion, but which was later debunked in screenshots of the couple's exchanges.

Despite clearing his name, the actor took the blame and acknowledged his mistake saying that he “hurt her due to my carelessness and inconsiderate actions.”

Also following the controversy, Kim left the South Korean variety show 2 Days & 1 Night, where he was a regular cast member and was dropped from films and television shows, as well as by advertisers.

Now in his resurgence, the actor is also set to make his movie debut later this year in Sad Tropics, one of the few projects which did not drop him after the scandal.

Sad Tropics revolves around Kim who plays the role of a boxer from a South Korean father and a Filipino mother, who travels to South Korea to find his long-lost father.
