A decade after teaming up for a tv series, Judy Ann Santos and Sam Milby are set to reunite for a horror film directed by Rahyan Carlos.

A decade after their last project together, premier actors Judy Ann Santos and Sam Milby will pair up once again in a horror drama thriller that is guaranteed to make viewers scream in fright.

The pair’s reunion project was confirmed by director Rahyan Carlos through an Instagram post on Saturday, February 4, after he attached some behind-the-scenes photos from the look test and photo shoot for the film “The Diary of Mrs. Winters.”

“HappyKarga Films and AMP Studios Canada's first film venture for 2023! We just finished our pictorial, look test, and cam test. Thank you to my lead actors Judy Ann Santos Agoncillo and Sam Milby,” the director wrote, reported Rappler.

Despite appearing in various series since their first onscreen project in “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala,” the new project would serve as Santos and Milbyms major big screen comeback after taking on their last films, both in 2019.

After Carlos broke the news, Milby’s agency, Cornerstone Entertainment, also posted about the project on Sunday, February 5, to confirm their artist’s comeback in his first horror film.

“How will you protect the person you love the most from the curse of a vengeful soul?

Abangan ang pagbabalik pelikula ni Ms. Judy Ann Santos ngayong 2023 at ang kauna-unahang horror film ni Sam Milby!” the agency wrote.

However, it seems as if the overall project is a comeback for everyone involved since “The Diary of Mrs. Winters” will also serve as the box-office director’s return to the big screen.

According to Manila Bulletin, the film is written by National Artist for Film and Broadcast, Ricky Lee together with Carlos and is being produced by AMP Studios Canada and HappyKarga Films.

The film is also set to be shot in Canada and in the Philippines.

The much-awaited film is projected to be released by the third quarter of the year both locally and internationally, and will revolve around a Filipina bio-forensic assistant cleaner in Canada named Charity played by Judy Ann, who started experiencing unfortunate events after keeping the diary of an old lady who committed suicide and forced her to pay much more attention to her loved ones.
