Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano soon to become parents as they announced that they are expecting their first child in an emotional video.
Celebrity couple Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano announced Thursday that they are expecting their first child through a vlog titled “A New Chapter” shot in Benguet.
In a YouTube video, the couple dropped the news while showing clips from their prenup shoot, garden civil wedding ceremony which took place in February 2021, but they made public in April.
The 29-year-old actress also shared their goal of tying the knot in a church wedding this year but has been stopped as
“suddenly God gave us this wonderful blessing, proving time and again that God is the master planner.”
“No matter what your plans are, He has a divine plan for you, one that is definitely better than what you have imagined. His plan is always the best,” she added.
No details regarding the postponed church wedding nor when the baby is due have been mentioned by them.
“For now, our planned church wedding will have to take a back seat until our bundle of joy arrives. This is, by far, the best surprise we have received in our lives,” she added.
The vlog showed clips from their civil wedding first then it cuts to Jessy and Luis excitedly looking at the positive results of a pregnancy test.
Footage of the couple showing ultrasound images dated July 13 were also included, and closes with footage of the couple embracing, with close-ups of Jessy’s still small but noticeable baby bump.
“To our supporters, thank you for being with us since day one. Join us as we enter this new journey in our lives as parents.– Jessy & Lucky,” they said as they ended the vlog.
Friends of the couple have sent their congratulations to the two on their new chapter in life, including Mariel Padilla and Elisse Joson.
