Immediately after giving birth to baby girl “D,” actress Jennylyn Mercado didn’t mince words to campaign for VP Leni Robredo as the next president of the Philippines.

According to Jennylyn, she waited to give birth to “D” and publicly announce her preference in the nation’s political exercise on Monday, May 9 yet.

“Aaminin ko stressful para sa akin ang nangyayari sa bansa natin ngayon kaya pinili ko manahimik muna at magfocus sa aking pagbubuntis (bawal mastress sabi ni doc!). Pero syempre hindi rin maari na hindi ako manindigan lalong lalo na ngayon na may bago akong silang na anak. Kinabukasan niya ang nakasalalay dito e

Mercado asserted that whoever wins in the polls has an important role in the life of her and Dennis’ daughter and other children for six years and beyond.

Jen said that the government officials should have beneficial platforms on education, health, child protection, safety environment etc. for the children.

“Kung maari lang gawing perfect ang mundopara sa anak natin, gagawin natin, di ba? ‘Lam nyo yan mga (If we can only make the world perfect for our child we will do everything, right? You know that my dear) mommies at even daddies. Pero, reality is, we can only do so much as parents,” gushed Mercado so she asked the support of government officials.

At this time of crucial choice among candidates especially for the top posts, Jen suggested and enjoined other Filipino voters to vote for Leni, who like her, is an ultimate survivor.

“Ultimate survivor siya bilang (as a) single mom na mag-isang nagpalaki ng kanyang tatlong mahuhusay ding mga anak (who raised and nurtured her equally excellent three daughters).
“Ultimate survivor din siya sa paglilingkod at nakapagpatupad pa rin ng mga programa para tulungan ang sambayanan sa kabila ng kakulangan sa budget ng kanyang tanggapan (also in serving and implementing programs for the nation despite the lack, if not shortage, of budget in her office),” she shared.
