James Reid took to social media to surprise his fans with an album announcement, set to be released in October, and will be coming back to the Philippines for his new project.
What was initially an EP release is now a 10-track album of Careless Music founder, James Reid who is set to drop in October.
He teased on Twitter about his new project saying
“Hello, so I’m not releasing an EP anymore. Now it’s a 10-track album dropping in October,” on Monday, August 29.
“Sorry I decided like two weeks ago. There was just too many songs I wanted to share with everyone,” he continued.
He then added: "There [were] just too many songs I wanted to share with everyone. So be ready. LOVESCENE,” probably hinting at his new album’s title.
Reid also dropped by Instagram to post a picture of him with the caption “coming home to drop a MF album,” and a Philippine flag emoji.
The actor-singer has recently been based in the United States, flying to the US in February for his recording sessions.
He even surprised his fans with an updated version of his song ‘Hello,’ which now featured South Korean singer Jay B of the K-pop group Got7 and Taiwanese-American rapper ØZI, called ‘Hello 2.0 (Legends Only)’.
"I owe it to my management, Transparent Arts, for orchestrating the whole collaboration, remixing the song, and hooking me up with Jay B and ØZI who both did a legendary job on the new track," he said in an interview with FAULT Magazine
Reid also sat with CNN Philippines in March to talk about his recent projects internationally.
"I came out here to work on music, meet a lot of people, try and see what doors will open, make a name for myself out here, and make the Filipinos proud," he said in the interview.
After his US trip, James then visited South Korea with Liza Soberano who is signed in his agency, and met with different K-pop Idols and was invited to some headquarters of music labels.
