Michael V replaces Wilie Revillame in Wowowin.

Michael V. as ‘Kuya Wil’ Willie Revillame is one of the best things that happened in a variety show this year.

The Kapuso comedian showed off his impersonating skills last Wednesday after taking over the show ‘Wowowin’ in place of the original host Willie Revillame.

Michael V. or more popularly known as Bitoy, stepped in for the fellow Kapuso star as Kuya Wil flew to Mindanao to provide aid to victims of Super Typhoon Odette.

"Kaya ako nandidito, si Kuya Wil lumipad papuntang Mindanao para maghatid ng tulong sa mga kababayan nating nasalanta ng bagyong Odette," Bitoy said.

He then introduced himself as ‘Kuya Wowie’ to the audience. This is one of his characters in ‘Bubble Gang’.

"Si Kuya Wowie ang kasama niyo ngayon at nabigyan tayo ng pagkakataon na mag-host... Kapag napaganda ang trabaho natin dito ngayon, baka makaulit tayo bukas!" he added.

In one of the segments of the show called ‘Tutok To Win’, the host is supposed to call the winner before the game starts.

However, Michael V. fails to convince the supposed winner with his impersonation who hilariously ended the call.

When the call was picked up, the person on the other end of the line sounded confused.

“Ikaw, sino po kayo? Kayo po unang tumawag?” she said when Bitoy asked who she was.

To which, he answered: “Hulaan mo. ’Di mo ba ako nabobosesan? Nanonood ka bang TV ngayon? May dala akong pamasko para sa ’yo.”

After a few unsuccessful tries in reaching the winner again, ‘Kuya Wowie’ finally got a hold of the winner which is supposed to get a prize money for the segment.

“Hindi ako si Kuya Wil. Ako si Kuya Wowie. Ako ang host ngayon ng ‘Wowowin.’” Michael V. then introduced himself.

Upon hearing this, the winner finally realized that she won and was relieved. She turned out to be one of the residents affected by Typhoon Odette in Cebu. She was thankful for the PHP20,000 prize, which she said she would be using for food and house repairs.
