After her crowning as Miss Philippines Tourism 2023, many are expecting Herlene Budol will represent the Philippines in the next edition of Miss Tourism World.

Last year, the Philippines' Justine Felizarta finished as first runner up in the competition held in Vietnam. The next will be held in Sri Lanka.

On the other hand, Pageant Organization, Hiyas ng Pilipinas, have reminded the public that they are the official franchise holder of three international titles, including Miss Tourism World 2023, Miss Omninational 2023 and Miss Summit International 2023.

Following that, AVL Pageant Circle, the organizer for Miss Grand Philippine 2023, where Budol also crowned as Miss Philippines Tourism 2023, released an official statement, clarifying that the organization did not issue the confirmation on the participation of Herlene in Miss Tourism World Pageant.

"Our Miss Philippines Tourism title is a generic title with no contractual obligation to any international pageant, Henceforth, our choice of global pageant may vary year after year, depending on the ideals and visions of the organizations".

"ALV Pageant Circle and Miss Grand Philippines would like to clarify that we have not yet issued any official confirmation regarding Miss Grand Philippines Tourism 2023 Herlene Budol's participation in the Miss Tourism World pageant."

AVL Pageant Circle further mentioned, "It has never been our intention to instigate any conflict of interest with our fellow pageant organizers whom we regard with mutual respect. We are excited to announce that Miss Philippines Tourism 2023 will be competing in a different international tourism pageant, which we will announce very soon".
