Heart Evangelista ventures on collectible toys as she is set to launch 50 sets of a 12-piece hand-painted toys priced at ₱200,000 with Secret Fresh gallery on August 28
Actress and fashion icon Heart Evangelista is launching a collectible set of 12 hand- painted artist-made figurines in collaboration with Secret Fresh Gallery, with most of her pieces already sold ahead of the official release date.
Secret Fresh gallery owner Bigboy Cheng facilitated the toys’ production which will be called “Seasons” composed of colorful three-dimensional resin figures of different versions of women that appear in her wall-bound artworks.
“Love Marie/Heart Evangelista’s first ever Art Toy release, a collectible set of 12 figurines – each hand-painted – will be released in a limited run of only 50 sets,” Secret Fresh Gallery shared in an Instagram post featuring Evangelista and the art figurines.
The collectible set goes for ₱200,000 and comes in a special wooden box, with a personal message from the artist.
"My first ever Art Toy release, a collectible set of 12 figures—each hand-painted—will be released in a limited run of only 50 sets," Heart also wrote in an IG post. "Thank you already for the love."
In the one-minute video that Heart shared, a sneak peek of her art toys, paintings, and the surprise personalized messages, were shown and she wrote that her other stories and works will be displayed in the gallery as well.
Bigboy said in an interview that 50 sets were made for Heart’s collection but only 40 will be up for sale and even bragged that they have sold more than half of the number ahead of its official launch.
“Ubos na yan in two days maybe,” predicts the Secret Fresh in the same interview.
According to Bigboy, they have been talking about making the collectible toys since three years ago as Heart is a huge fan of the Japanese handcrafted toys ‘Bearbrick’ which she gets from Secret Fresh.
The collectible toys will officially be on display at the Secret Fresh Gallery in San Juan on August 28, Sunday.
