For the past weeks, Gumacahin actress and comedienne Janice Jurado has been scarce in her social media shows like her early evening daily on cam program on Facebook, her “Director’s Cut” Wednesday primetime show at 7 pm with filmmaker Dave Cecilio and her solo “Kakampi” magazine program, the last two aired in Channel 31 online TV.

It’s because Janice went under the knife in a hospital she chose not to reveal. It’s off-limits to unauthorized people especially to media),” said Janice days before her operation.

Para nang sa lalaki (I was operated on my boobs. Cysts were removed from them and my chest is already flat. It’s just like in males),” confided Janice who is a breast cancer survivor.

But because Jurado has big bumpers and a fleshy upper extremity, she’s obviously not flat-chested especially if she wears a bra, a fact she also acknowledges.

Marami pa akong magagawa (I still want to live. I want my life to be of service to others. I can still do many things),” she claimed confidently.

A very brave woman, indeed.

Janice has also transitioned into a well-meaning advice host in her FB show. From being a wacky dumb beauty image, the actress is now ala-Charo Santos, Helen Vela, Mel Tiangco etc. in her mien and vision. As a matter of fact, she could even be an heir apparent to the civic-conscious persona of Rosa Rosal as she organizes medical missions with her doctor and nurse-friends.

What I want is to have a teleserye participation. But there are people who bar my appearance in TV dramas. Someone would ask for me and then there are those who would sabotage me by saying I am abroad which isn’t true because I am just around),” she sighed angrily.
At the moment, Janice heals the wounds left by the operation.

No one is also allowed to pay me visits because my wounds are still fresh and I still have stitches. Even my cousins from Gumaca from the Adad family, they couldn’t go here in my place also because of) COVID-19 pandemic,” she gushed.
Get well soon, Janice!
