Jaclyn Jose isn't only a great actress, she is a budding seeress as well who can give Madam Suzette Arandela a run for her money if only for real.

During the premiere night of the movie "Apag" held at the SM North EDSA The Block Cinema 2 three weeks ago, Jaclyn casually and confidently advised Gladys Reyes, a fellow actress in the film, to prepare and get herself a gown for the awards night.

"Naku, magpagawa ka na ng gown (Oh! Get yourself a gown)," quipped Jose as if foretelling what's in store for Gladys in the race.

"Apag" is one of the official entries to the first ever Summer Metro Manila Film Festival (SMMFF) screening until April 18, 2023.

One day before the awards rite, Gladys was declared one of the nominees for the Best Actress category.

True enough, after the 2016 Palme d'Or Best Actress had pronounced her forecast, Gladys won the coveted plum at the 2023 SMMFF Gabi ng Parangal held Tuesday night at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao.

In her acceptance speech, Reyes recalled what Jaclyn told her.

Meanwhile, Romnick Sarmenta bagged the Best Actor award for "About Us But Not About Us" which also won Best Picture and Best Director for Jun Lana.
